The back bar also gives the awning more strength and can generally cover larger areas. Full-Cassette awnings offer complete protection of the fabric when retracted into the headbox but are only suitable in flat mounting situations, such as a brick wall or beam. Yes. By using custom made rafter brackets with a plate that extends up in front of your gutter, we can mount to your eave using the roof rafters for cantilevered support.

If a Folding Arm Awning is installed at angle of 15 degree or more then yes – it can be used for light shower protection. Keep in mind though that it may be hard to achieve a 15-degree angle in most situations and that strong winds are often associated with rain. A Folding Arm Awning is designed to be more of a shade solution.
