No more glare for school hall presentations

Too much sunlight and glare coming from the windows and doors, was making it impossible for St Brigid’s Primary School staff to make proper use of the projector during presentations in the school hall.

Fed up of this problem, they contacted Soltex for a solution.

The potential problems

From the incredibly large door span, to electric pivot doors with mechanical parts, there were a few obstacles along the way.

However, as Soltex are all about finding solutions, they once again were able to find one.

The Soltex Solution

After reviewing, brainstorming and planning, the Soltex team decided to put the following solutions into place:

• Custom design and manufacture blinds using a heavy-duty steel roller tube and a special block out fabric all concealed in a custom pelmet.
• Select colours that match the existing interior of the hall to complement the aesthetics.
• Arrange for the system to be completely automated with a wireless switch.

The Outcome

All this, now means that the school hall has all year-round protection from harmful UV Rays and are able to make use of the projector, catering to hundreds of students, hosting regular presentations, functions and theatre productions.
