FORM Gallery and Café in Claremont is a community-driven initiative under FORM’S “Shelter” campaign.
FORM required a versatile outdoor space that could facilitate public events and protect visitors rain or shine. Soltex was engaged to deliver a solution that would complement the existing building and heritage while providing essential shelter to enable year-round operation.
Our recommendation was the Soltex All Seasons Operable Louvre Roof which provides both shade and shelter while allowing control over natural light and ventilation. Recognising FORM’s not-for-profit status, Soltex provided design, engineering, and labour services at no cost. Overcoming additional challenges posed by the building’s heritage listing and strict council requirements, Soltex worked in close collaboration with FORM, heritage experts, and the local council.
