Lobster Shack
Cervantes

The popular Lobster Shack venue in Cervantes required effective cover for multiple restaurant zones that would both protect patrons and create more usable outdoor dining space. The size of the areas totalled over 200sqm.

The venue had previously tried umbrellas and fixed shade sails for the west-facing deck however a more robust solution was needed due to its ocean front location. The location is known for its wind surfing competitions and faces average wind speeds of 31km per hour.

Soltex proposed a combination of Shaderunner® Retractable Shade Sails to be suspended from the existing framework and the Operable Louvre Roof System in other areas for year-round sun and rain protection. This product combination offered enormous flexibility for our client and was more cost effective than solely installing the Louvre Roof System.

With the installation of both the Shaderunner® and Operable Louvre Roof, our client could introduce more usable seating areas for patrons and maximise its floor space, increasing revenue. Lobster Shack also expressed its appreciation for Soltex’s full project management services, with their regional location posing logistical challenges if managing multiple suppliers.
